My art practice explores creative ways of walking and engaging with a landscape. I create art walks and site-responsive works, reflective of local communities and ecologies. I see my practice as a relational way of being with a landscape, exploring non-extractive ways of engaging with place. Working across walking arts, audio, installation, object making and drawing, my work is shaped by ongoing study into the ways in which an art practice can braid a deep connection with place. I like to work with seasonally responsive, time based processes as way of aligning my practice with natural cycles.

Often working site specifically; my practice explores the ephemeral and the impermanent nature of an environment, creating walks and art works that seek to capture and archive the fleeting conversation between ourselves and the living - and ever changing - landscape. I am interested in emotional cartography, in that we experience place in a sensorial state; our senses tapping into the shape, colour and ecology of an active, alive landscape.

As a trained eco-therapist, eco-therapy is woven through my participatory walks and workshops, building spaces for a deeper, collective understanding of our relationship with the natural environment.
